Career Day at SWE was so much fun! Students learned about pilots, nurses, law enforcement, business managers and so many more opportunities to prepare for college and career choices. Thank you, Mrs.Klein, for putting this together.

Two SWE teachers hiked to "The Major" American flag in Ogden Canyon.
They decided to invite the families of their classes to hike it as well and see who could get the most participants while the flag was hung with glory.
First and second graders honored veterans while learning about what it takes to do something hard.
We are proud of these students and teachers for celebrating Veteran's Day in a unique way.

Students participated in the Martin Luther King Speech Contest today. They also received some encouragement and a performance from Mckenzie, last year's school and district winner.

Our school counselor provides opportunities for students to learn about careers during the month of December. To kick it off, we will have a Career Fair on December 5.

It's time to turn in your Reflections project! Tuesday, October 21st is the deadline for submitting all student projects for art, music, video, writing or dance. Showcase the great talents students are doing and help them enter the contest by following the instructions on the flyer.
The Reflections contest is a great opportunity to have them share their skills or try something new. See the details on submitting student work.

As part of cancer awareness month, Mrs. Brown's class honored a student who is wrapping up his leukemia treatments. Soon he will celebrate being cancer free.
Tyler and his mom taught the class about the process he went through with his illness and challenges he has overcome. Ty is thriving in school and so happy to be learning with his peers. The class celebrated him with gold decorations, apparel and treats.

The annual PTA fundraiser is going on right now at the school. Students gather pledges and donations to contribute to PTA funds for activities, field trips and support at the school. Send in your pledge donations today!
Students are dressing up to show their spirit each day.
Students will get to participate in bubble run on Friday during morning recess to complete their part of the pledge.

Back to School Night will be on Thursday, August 14th for 1st - 6th graders. There will be three sessions in classrooms. One from 5:30 to 5:50, a second from 6:00 to 6:20, and third from 6:30 to 6:50.
Kindergarteners will come on Monday, August 19, from 9:15 - 10:30 with a parent or guardian to meet their teacher and see their classroom.
